Brief History of 1 on 1
I started my voice career in 2000. But it wasn't until 2005 when I invested in a modest microphone and software that my career really took off. The internet has made voice over accesible for any passionate person who wants to work in this wonderfully, rewarding world. You no longer have to live in a big city to work in the VO field.
I never intended to teach classes (even though I hold a degree in education from UConn). It was when a freind of mine (Lira Kellerman) talked me into sitting down with her that I was able to see the impact my passion for voice over had on people.
I could only afford a couple of classes in Los Angeles; where the cost of a good class starts at $1000. If you're not certain voice over is for you, this can make the cost of exploring the voice over world very prohibitive. Plus there are at least eight other students in each class, so the amount of personal time and the ability to ask questions is very limited.
If you've decided that you are more than curious and ready to see the world of voice over up-close-and- personal, keep reading. Or, better yet, give me a call!

The Classes
I generally like to teach in two to three hour blocks; though I can accomadate hour-long classes as well. Three hours seems to be the optimum time for teaching, as we are able to explore a wide spectrum of voice over fields to see which of these resonates with you.
What has worked well for Students:
First: Feel free to give me a call and ask any questions you have regarding classes. It's a great way to pinpopint where you are and what you'd like to accomplish in the voice over class.
Second: Once you decide that you would like to move forward and we establish a time to meet, I will send a follow-up email loaded with some basic questions regarding your background in acting, microphone usage, similar fields you've workedin, etc.. This ensures that we won't waste our valuable time together fumbling through the class or covering things you already know.
Third: If you've read through this far, you're probably have more than a passing interest in voice over. So, give me a call! If I do not answer, I will return your call ASAP! Or email me with any questions!

Feedback
"I had taken a few voice over workshops in LA, but I didn't feel like I was getting enough attention for the money. I asked Dan if he would sit down with me for a few hours to work on VO. I told him I would compensate him for his time. I learned more from Dan in three hours than I did in two months of classes that cost nearly $3000! I left his presence feeling excited and ready to work!"

"I had always wanted to try voice over. I met Dan in a restaurant of all places. After talking with him I knew I wanted to see the world of voice over up close. It was an incredible class and I left there feeling excited about beginning my journey. Dan is so kind. He checks up on me and always responds when I reach out."
-Brian Collins (realtor)
"I had no idea how big a world voice over was until I met up with Dan and got in front of the microphone. His enthusiasm and passion for voice over really rubbed off on me. The direction he gives and the information he imparts is next level. He's one of the best coaches I have ever had. Period."
-Travis Quentin Young (actor)
"I left Dan's studio eager, excited and ready to work! The three hour class went by so fast! Dan is a fantastic teacher and his passion is infectious!"
